SA: SA gvt criticised over handling of uranium leak

The South Australian government has been criticised for its handling of a uranium leakat a mine in the state's north.

Up to 60,000 litres of radioactive liquid spilt from a pipe during routine maintenanceat the Beverley Uranium Mine, 600km north of Adelaide, on Friday.

A spokesman for mine operator Heathgate Resources says there has been no impact onthe environment or on workers' safety.
