NSW: Armed robber jailed over shooting death
Armed robber LLOYD ANTHONY MURRELL has been jailed for 13 years for being an accessoryafter the fact in the 1997 killing of Sydney service station owner AHMED HOMSI.
31-year-old MURRELL was given a non-parole period of seven-and-a-half years and couldbe back on the streets in less than four years -- having been in custody since 1998.
Mr HOMSI, aged 51, was blasted in the chest and neck through the front door of hisLakemba home when he went to investigate a shot fired through his front window.
Several days earlier Mr HOMSI had acted as a peacemaker in an argument between friendsand a group including MURRELL and his friends over a car accident.
