LAWMAKER URGES LOBBYING PROBE.(CAPITAL REGION)

ALBANY An Assembly Democrat has asked for an investigation into whether the state's chief business lobbying group improperly failed to disclose more than $100,000 in media buys it made to press passage of Gov. George Pataki's budget.

Martin Luster of Ithaca furnished the Temporary State Commission on Lobbying on Friday with copies of contracts and logs showing pro-budget ads the Business Council of New York State had aired on three Albany television stations by the March 31 filing deadline.
