Vic: International Crime Stoppers programs used to hunt Mokbel

Victoria Police have called in Crime Stoppers International .. to track down fugitive
drug trafficker TONY MOKBEL.

More than 12 hundred Crime Stoppers operations are joining forces for the first time
.. to find MOKBEL .. who disappeared after skipping bail in March 2006 during his Supreme
court trial for drug trafficking.

He was found guilty in his absence .. and sentenced to nine years' jail.

A warrant's also out for his arrest over the murder of an underworld rival.

Purana Taskforce Detective Inspector JIM O'BRIEN says MOKBEL's still the number one
target on their wanted list .. and they're confident they'll get him with the help of
CSI.
